Olivia Estella Collins Shields was born December 1, 1933, in Hampton, VA to the late Leonard and Bessie Collins. She transitioned peacefully to be with our Lord August 1, 2026. She was predeceased in death by her parents; husband Preston Shields, ex-husband Nathaniel Everhardt; daughter Kim Hargrove; son Omar Everhardt; siblings James Collins, Linwood Collins, Lucetta Collins Spurlock, Floyd Collins, Mollie Collins Walker, Mildred Collins, Betsy Collins Cuffy, and John Collins.

She leaves to cherish her memories sisters Lorraine Collins Vernon (William Haywood) and Valonia Collins Moore; grandsons Zachary Hargrove and Gabriel Hargrove; great granddaughter My Sani Andrews; son-in-law Michael Hargrove (Maureen); nieces Tamara Moore, Nicole Early (Keith), Donnie Miller (Adam), Lisa Collins, Wanda Green, Carolyn Harding (Eddie), Sharon Collins Banfield; nephews Linwood Andre Collins, Kevin Vernon, Willard Carney, and a host of family and friends.

We are saddened by Olivia’s passing, but we are thankful for her time with us and her legacy of a humble life very well lived. Olivia, may you have eternal peace and watch over us as we continue our journey.
